Crime Alert Issued by MSU Police

Campus crime alerts are for all students, faculty and staff so that they are aware of a particular crime or crimes that are occurring on campus or in the area surrounding the campus.

The Midwestern State University Police Department is investigating a case of Assault that occurred on Tee Pee Drive on the east side of Fain Fine Arts at about 11:43 a.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2015. A female student reported that she was walking to class when a white male suspect walked up behind her and used his hand to make nonconsensual sexual contact with her. The suspect then made several rude comments to the victim and he was last seen walking southeast through Parking Lot 6 going toward Nocona Trail.

The suspect is described as white, male, late teens – early 20s, short light brown or blonde hair, 5’ 11’ – 6’, light skin complexion, wearing wire rim glasses with narrow lens, light colored shirt with unknown print on front, dark shorts and the subject’s teeth were in poor condition.

Until further information is obtained, the MSU PD is urging all students, faculty, staff and visitors to be aware of any suspicious subjects on or near the MSU campus. We all must be vigilant in taking responsibility for personal safety. All individuals are urged to practice the following:
